Statement Of Ethics Publication

The journal ITB – Informatics, Technology and Business is committed to upholding high ethical standards in the publication of scientific research.

The Editorial Board is aware of the importance of preventing unethical practices in scholarly publishing. Authors, reviewers, and editors share responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the publication process and preventing any form of misconduct.

Responsibilities of Authors

When submitting a manuscript, authors are required to provide a Declaration of Authenticity confirming the following:

  • the submitted manuscript is the original work of the author(s);
  • all listed authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript submitted for consideration;
  • the manuscript does not infringe any copyright or other rights of third parties;
  • the manuscript is not under review, has not been accepted, and is not simultaneously submitted to another journal;
  • the manuscript has not been previously published in any form, in any language, and will not be published elsewhere in the same or substantially similar form if accepted;
  • all sources are properly cited in accordance with scientific standards;
  • the research is original and all presented data are accurate and authentic;
  • the authors transfer publication rights to the journal in accordance with its publishing policy.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must ensure that:

  • manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of scientific quality, without discrimination based on gender, race, origin, religion, nationality, or political beliefs;
  • the peer review process remains confidential, and reviewers do not disclose any information about the manuscript under review;
  • all relevant information related to the review process is communicated to the Editor-in-Chief in a timely manner.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

The Editorial Board ensures that:

  • all submitted manuscripts are evaluated through a fair, independent, and anonymous peer review process;
  • editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit of the manuscript;
  • discrimination of any kind, including gender, race, origin, religion, citizenship, or political orientation, is strictly excluded from the publication process.
